Droke’s Diamond Mine held a memorial benefit, in honor of Andre Simmons, on November 13th, 2021, to assist the family in paying for funeral expenses. Co-owner Byron Boudreaux stated that half of the tournament money was being designated to help the family in their time of need and that everyone who knew Andre was invited to bring pictures and memories to share.
Andre’ “Dre” Simmons was a Halogen Welder who traveled extensively doing what he loved. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 15, 2021 and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother, four children, three siblings, and a grandchild.
There is not currently a GoFundMe set up but those interested in donating to the family can contact Byron at (337) 414-6484.
